What is safari print you ask? As legend has it, Tinker Hatfield was in New York and just happened to get buzzed into a furniture store. There was a couch on display (not Rick James couch) that caught Tinker’s attention because it was covered in genuine ostrich skin. After spending a little bit of tender loving care with this couch, Tinker knew he needed to find his own faux version of ostrich skin to use, hence the safari print was born in 1987. Now for 2022, the print continues to adorn silhouette after silhouette, making its way onto another Nike Dunk Low.
The Nike Dunk Low Safari Swoosh "Kumquat" comes in a clean orange and white colorway. The all-leather upper is split between orange overlays and white underlays. More orange accents can be found via the branding on the tongue tag, inner lining, back heel tab, and outsole. With white adorning the rest of the sneaker, the main focal paint is the safari print Swoosh on the sides.
The Nike Dunk Low Safari Swoosh Kumquat is currently scheduled to release in 2022. It will drop on Nike and select retailers worldwide, online and in-store. Coming in men's sizing, retail is set at $120.
