To help promote the Nike Dunk when it first launched, Nike created the Be True To Your School campaign, a legendary series of colorways tied to various collegiate athletic programs nationwide. Today, these two-tone Dunks are some of the most sought-after varieties, one such being the pair honoring Syracuse. While the resale prices for the Dunk Low version of this colorway drastically dropped following a restock in 2022, Nike has crafted another version of the iconic colorway. No, not the pair that dropped a few days ago, but a new pair slated to launch in 2025.
Retaining the two-tone look the Syracuse colorway became famous for, we see orange hues (in a darker shade than the OG) land on the mudguard, eyestays, and heel overlay. Below this sits a white leather, present along the perforated toebox, midfoot panel, and collar. While everything remains true to the original pair, including the white nylon tongue and orange lace set, the tongue tag here receives an orange makeover instead of a white finish. An orange leather Swoosh runs from the midfoot back to the orange heel tab. Below, we see a vintage sail finish applied to the rubber midsole, another difference from the recently released pairs, with the orange rubber outsole finishing the design.
