The Nike GT Cut Cross Debuts in 2024

Nike's Greater Than series has become the brand's premier inline performance basketball lineup. Encompassing silhouettes like the GT Cut, GT Jump, and GT Hustle, this series has become a favorite among basketball players for its innovative designs and superior performance features. The GT Cut, in particular, has gained significant popularity on the court, leading Nike to introduce more accessible versions like the GT Cut Academy. Building on this momentum, Nike is now set to debut the GT Cut Cross, a new model designed to enhance on-court performance at an affordable price.
The Nike GT Cut Cross is engineered to help players create space for step-back jumpers, backdoor cuts, and other game-changing moves. The design of the GT Cut Cross takes inspiration from both the GT Cut Academy and the GT Cut 3, resulting in a versatile and performance-driven sneaker. The midfoot features a durable ripstop material, while the toe area is covered with a synthetic TPU overlay on a mesh base, providing both breathability and robustness. Rubberized portions near the lateral toe offer added stability and durability, ensuring the sneaker can withstand the rigors of intense gameplay.
Branding elements are thoughtfully placed, with GT Cut Cross logos on the tongue and a Swoosh on the medial side that echoes the design of the GT Cut 3. Comfort and support are prioritized underfoot with a dual-foam midsole that delivers exceptional cushioning. A bottom-loaded Air Zoom unit is strategically placed in the forefoot to enhance responsiveness and energy return. The sneaker's outsole features a sticky herringbone traction pattern, ensuring optimal grip and control on the court.
