Victor Wembanyama, at the young age of 20, has already established himself as a phenomenon within the NBA, captivating fans and players alike with his unprecedented skillset for a player of his stature. Standing tall at 7'4", his rookie season has been extraordinary, averaging a double-double with 21.2 PPG and 10.2 RPG. Recognizing his potential early on, Nike signed Wembanyama, making him one of the key athletes to don the Nike GT Hustle 2, one of the brand's latest performance basketball sneakers. During the NBA All-Star weekend, Wembanyama unveiled a PE version of the GT Hustle 2 playing off his alien nickname, with the pair now receiving official images.
First reported by Elden Monitors, this special edition of the GT Hustle 2, inspired by Wembanyama's Alien nickname given to him by LeBron James, is adorned with a captivating galactic print in shades of green across the mudguard, collar, and heel. The sneaker's lace set complements this theme with a black base dotted with green, enhancing the alien aesthetic. Further personal touches include a hand-drawn alien logo by Victor himself on the insole and heel, coming with a green and metallic silver finish, respectively. For the rest of the upper, the usual construction features durable textiles and neoprene in black hues. A metallic silver Swoosh accents the dark finish across the midfoot, while Nike branding rests atop the tongue in a tonal green and black hue. The sneaker's design is rounded off with a black midsole featuring white speckle details and a glow-in-the-dark outsole that bears the inspirational message "Be Unique Every Day" across both sneakers.
