The golden age of Nike Basketball is most definitely in the past, as today, trends have shifted away from favoring on-the-court footwear as fashion statements. Still, Nike is looking to inject some energy into its performance sneakers with an ultra-limited luxury-inspired collection of models from signature athletes and the brand’s inline offerings — the Black Label Collection. Previews of pairs have already hit the internet via official Nike imagery, including pairs for Victor Wembanyama, LeBron James, Sabrina Ionescu, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Ja Morant. Still, Nike has revealed the final pieces of the collection.
Featuring nine sneakers in total, each comes with a similar color palette, featuring a primarily black finish across the upper and sole unit and accenting hits of coconut milk. As mentioned, Nike has revealed new pairs that went unseen, including Kevin Durant’s Nike KD 18, a new update to the GT Cut 3, the Nike GT Cut 3 Turbo, and Devin Booker’s Nike Book 1.

Starting with the KD 18, Durant’s new silhouette, revealed yesterday by Boardroom, takes inspiration from the ACG Terra Humara through its midfoot cage and contains details from the Zoom Vomero 5, specifically the mesh used on the base layer. This pair opts to add rubber details to the midfoot cage, Black Label branding near the coconut milk Swoosh on the heel, and pops of emerald green on the embroidered KD branding along the tongue. Like other signature athletes' sneakers in this collection, Durant’s pair is limited to his birth year, 1988.

Next is Devin Booker’s Nike Book 1, which continues the black and cream theme throughout the collection. Denim with frayed edges covers the paneling throughout, while the black Swoosh on the midfoot comes outlined in an alabaster-shaded thread. Other details are not currently visible in this photo, but expect the pair to be limited to 1,996 to coordinate with Booker’s birth year and for hits of red stardust to appear.

Finally, Nike is updating the GT Cut 3 with the new GT Cut 3 Turbo. Once again, we have another blacked-out silhouette with accenting hits of coconut milk on the branding details, which include the midfoot Swoosh and the tongue tag. Compared to the original GT Cut 3, this Turbo variant features a beefed-up construction with synthetic molded material covering the forefoot and the heel. Inside, the cushioning setup comes with an added layer of ZoomX foam on the insole and a carbon fiber plate for extra springiness near the lateral pinky-toe.
The entire Nike Basketball Black Label collection will release on February 14, 2025, through Nike SNKRS and at Foot Locker in the San Francisco area, as that is where the NBA All-Star festivities will be. Alongside this drop, Nike, Jordan Brand, and Converse will be hosting a slew of different activations throughout the city.
