Although she won’t participate in the NBA All-Star Game, Sabrina Ionescu will make her presence known at the event thanks to her signature sneaker with Nike, the Nike Sabrina 2. The silhouette continued off the back of the Sabrina 1, which helped kick-start an appreciation and acceptance of women’s basketball sneakers in the NBA and beyond. To commemorate Ionescu, her model will join Nike’s upcoming Black Label collection, which features pairs from LeBron James, Ja Morant, and even a PE colorway of the GT Hustle 3 for Victor Wembanyama.
Like the other pairs in the collection, Sabrina’s latest Nike sneaker gets a premium upgrade by including chenille materials and a custom embroidered pattern across the upper. On the base, a chainlink-like design is embroidered atop the mesh base, while chenille takes over the S overlay on the eyestay, the center of the coconut milk-outlined Swoosh, and parts of the tongue. Here, Sabrina’s and Nike Black Label logos are present, each taking on a shade that matches Ionescu’s New York Liberty uniform.

Other luxe details include the subtle Sabrina logo embedded into the mesh sockliner, a metallic black Swoosh on the medial midfoot, and the Sabrina and Black Label patches added to the insole. Another instance of Black Label branding is found on a metallic bar added near the end of the Swoosh on the lateral side. However, the medial side hosts a similar bar that indicates the pair is limited to 1,997 pairs. Finishing the sneaker is the blacked-out midsole and outsole.
The Nike Sabrina 2 Black Label W will release on February 14, 2025, for $150, though exactly how it will be released is a mystery. It’s possible there will be an in-person release during NBA All-Star Weekend in San Francisco on top of a Nike SNKRS drop online.
