Devin Booker made history this week when he passed Walter Davis to become the Suns’ all-time leading scorer. Of course, this celebration included a special edition of his Nike signature sneaker, the Nike Book 1, made exclusively for Devin, the pair mimicking Davis’ old Converse Startech Mid PE. The latest ultra-limited Book 1 is launching to the public as part of Nike Basketball’s Black Label collection.
Like other pairs in the collection, which includes models from the likes of Kevin Durant, LeBron James, Ja Morant, Sabrina Ionescu, and more, Booker’s sneaker is primarily coated in a black finish with a cream accent appearing on the outline of the midfoot Swoosh. Construction opts for a full denim build, switching from the usual mixture of nubuck, canvas twill, and leather, with the denim frayed on the edges of the paneling. Along the tongue sits Black Label branding, with the reverse hosting Book text in red stardust.

Back on the heel, the Book 1 Black Label forgoes its signature book spine-inspired heel tab, aligning with other pairs like the recent homages to Flagstaff and Sedona and the Sunrise and Sunset colorways. Finishing the sneaker is a blacked-out rubber midsole and outsole, the latter featuring a red Swoosh.
The Nike Book 1 Black Label will release on February 14, 2025, through Nike SNKRS and Foot Locker in San Francisco as part of NBA All-Star Weekend. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is $170. Download the Sole Retriever mobile app to stay updated on the latest releases, raffles, news, and more in the sneaker and streetwear world.
