When it was announced that Vanessa Bryant had partnered back up with Nike in March of this year, everyone rejoiced. That meant that Kobe's line with Nike was set to continue, which started off with a retail release for the Kobe 6 Protro "Mambacita." Now, with rumors of the Kobe 8 returning, the Kobe 4 will also be making a comeback in 2023.
Taking on an almost all-white upper, the silhouette features accenting hits of black, grey, and gold throughout its design. Unlike most Kobe 4 releases, the upper forgoes its Flywire construction and instead features a mesh build with weather landing on the toe and an open mesh design along the tongue. Black laces contrast the stark white’s that surround it while the Kobe logo atop the tongue comes covered in gold. Working to the midfoot, an embroidered Swoosh logo also takes on a dark shade that matches the checkerboard pattern found nearby on the TPU heel counter. This panel also contains Kobe’s signature on the lateral side while the heel tab houses “Gigi” text in black. Rounding out the design is the two-tone white and black midsole paired with a black rubber outsole.
The Nike Kobe 4 Protro Gigi is set to release May 1st, 2023. They will drop at Nike, via the SNKRS app, Mambacita Sports, and select retailers. Coming in men's sizing, retail is set at, $180. Keep it locked to our Twitter andMobile App to stay up to date on future releases.
