The illustrious legacy of Kobe Bryant's signature Nike line continues to inspire fans and athletes alike with its high-performing styles and vivid colorways. After reaching an agreement with Bryant's estate in 2022, Nike committed to revisiting and revitalizing numerous silhouettes from the superstar's extensive footwear collection.
The upcoming Summer 2024 lineup includes the anticipated release of the Nike Kobe 8 Protro Venice Beach, a vibrant retro of an OG colorway. In addition to this striking iteration, fans can look forward to the return of the Kobe 4 Protro Philly and the Kobe 6 Protro Italian Camo. This comes after news of the Kobe Line relaunching in August 2023 and the reveal of the Kobe 8 Protro Halo Radiant Emerald, and Court Purple.
The Nike Kobe 8 Protro Venice Beach sports a grey mesh base, dramatically set off by a multi-colored, tie-dye-like effect. Shades of blue, yellow, green, and red swirl together to recreate the vibrant, free-spirited vibe of Venice Beach. Complementing the tie-dye pattern are bright orange touches on the sockliner and Kobe's signature on the lateral heel. Cool blue hues dominate the heel counter and portions of the sole unit.
The tongue showcases Kobe's logo in bold yellow, surrounded by a multi-color snake motif. A drop-in React insole replaces Lunar for this Protro edition. Also, the midfoot Swoosh stands out with its yellow outline, while a blue foam midsole and semi-translucent clear outsole wrap up the design.
The Nike Kobe 8 Protro Venice Beach will release on April 13, 2024, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. It will be available in men’s sizes for $190, GS for $120, and PS for $90.
