In August, the Nike Kobe 9 will debut in Protro form with two Halo releases. Following this set will be the return of the Christmas colorway, just in time for the holidays. Looking ahead to Spring 2025, Nike is set to bring back another coveted original Kobe 9 colorway, Masterpiece, exactly eleven years later.
The Nike Kobe Elite Protro Masterpiece comes in black, metallic silver, bright crimson, and volt. It features a black-based upper, highlighted by multi-color Flyknit throughout. Kobe's logo is prominent on the tongue, just below his signature. A 3M reflective, metallic Silver Swoosh pops off the sides, with paint splatter detailing and carbon fiber on the midsole. All of this sits atop a solid grey rubber outsole.
The Nike Kobe 9 Elite Protro Masterpiece will release on February 8, 2025, through Nike, SNKRS, and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men's and gradeschool sizing, retail is set at $240 and $140, respectively.
