Thankfully for fans of Kobe Bryant, particularly those who adore his signature sneaker line with Nike, there is a flurry of new shoe releases headed our way in 2025. Outside of Protros of classic, fan-favorite colors like the What The Kobe 8 and new iterations like the Kobe 6 Protro Dodgers and Sail, Nike wants to ensure that those who want Kobe sneakers to play ball will have ample opportunities to secure a pair.
This is where the Team Bank Pack steps in, a series of team-bank-like color schemes that hit multiple retailers and are more available than the more limited special colorways. Picking up where the Team Bank Pack left off in 2024 with the Kobe 8, 2025 will see the Kobe 9 EM Low Protro join the collection.
While it’s being reported that the Kobe 9s part of this Team Bank Pack is the Elite version, the same iteration used on the Kobe 9 Halo that hit shelves in 2024, Sole Retriever can confirm that pairs offered in Fall 2025 will be the EM iteration, which uses engineered mesh for its base compared to the Flyknit used on the Elite version. We saw the EM version hit shelves alongside the Kobe 9 Halo Pack with the grade school version of the Kobe 9 Low, though this will mark the first Kobe 9 EM Low release in quite some time.
For the five pairs, we see the same simple color schemes found on the Kobe 8 Team Bank Pack translated to the Kobe 9 EM Low. This collection includes the Lakers Home and Lakers Away color schemes and the Wolf Grey and University Red renditions. However, the blue-based color for this pack will stray from the Collegiate Navy and opt for Game Royal. Tooling will also align with the previous Kobe 9 Protro, adding a full-length React drop-in midsole in place of the original’s Lunarlon and pairing this with a Zoom Air-laden midsole.
The Nike Kobe 9 EM Low Protro Team Bank Pack will release in Fall 2025 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. All five pairs will be offered in men’s sizing for $180, while the University Red, Lakers Home, and Lakers Away colors will also be available in GS sizing for $120.
