Nike's heritage often inspires newer silhouettes, and the P-6000 is a prime example. Drawing elements from the 2006 version of the Pegasus, the Nike silhouette perfectly encapsulates the early ought's design language and the current trend favoring chunky, retro sneakers. For its latest colorway, the P-6000 takes on a “Light Iron Ore” makeover.
Featuring a harmonious blend of materials and texture, the shoe boasts a multi-panel construction in mesh, leather, and suede. Wrapped entirely in shades of grey, the mesh base accentuates the tactile contrast of the suede and leather panels. Branding atop the tongue and on the nylon tongue strap signifies Nike's unmistakable mark. The midfoot Swoosh, featuring a grey embroidered trim with a reflective 3M finish, adds a subtle pop to the monochromatic theme. A two-tone grey and white foam midsole and a grey outsole complete the streamlined design.
The Nike P-6000 Light Iron Ore is set to release in July through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men's sizing, the retail price is set at $120.
