The Nike P-6000 is officially back and it's better than ever. Originally unveiled back in 2019 at the start of the chunky dad shoe trend, it pays homage to the Air Pegasus line from 1983. Now, as we head towards the legendary collection's 40th birthday, the Oregon-based sportswear brand has revived the P-6000 in the form of the Nike P-6000 "White Varsity Red Metallic Platinum," and here's everything that you need to know.
Oozing with vintage vibes, the P-6000 was one of the most popular retro runners when it debuted three years ago, so it surprised us when Nike decided to take the silhouette off the shelves. Spotted here in a crisp white mesh base, it's overlaid with metallic platinum leather panels across the upper for that old school aesthetic that you either love to hate or hate to love. To the sidewalls, you'll find varsity red Swooshes that have been done up with a glossy finish. This fiery hue extends towards the tongue and Cushlon midsole underfoot. To round it all off, a ribbon shoots through the lacing system reading "Bowerman Series," nodding to the legendary Nike co-founder.
Dropping exclusively in women's sizes alongside the "Pure Platinum," the Nike P-6000 White Varsity Red Metallic Platinum W is set to release sometime in Fall 2023 for $110 at Nike and select retailers online and in physical locations. More colorways are expected to be unveiled over the coming months, so make sure you follow Sole Retriever on Twitter and download our officialMobile App to find out everything that you need to know!
