As we approach the start of the 2022-2023 NBA season, Paul George should be making a return for the first time since December 2021 when he tore his UCL after diving for the ball in a game against Portland Trail Blazers. This absence from the game hasn’t stopped his signature line from Nike continuing onward as we’ve seen plenty of PG 6 colorways. Though its time is coming to a close as the PG 7 is rumored to debut in 2023, no Paul George sneaker is complete without a "Paulette" colorway.
To honor his mother who suffered a debilitating stroke when he was just six years old, PG has released colorways across his sneaker models, paying tribute to the woman who has inspired him his whole life. In this edition, the lilac tones often found on these colorways return with accenting hits of red and mint green. Its mesh upper delves into the realm of purple, as do the laces, tongue, and vine pattern found back on the heel. Near the circular heel overlay sits a backwards Nike Swoosh, embroidered in a vibrant red shade that bursts off the muted purple it comes surrounded by. Underfoot, a purple and black marbled midsole and outsole get accented by hits of white on the traction pods.
The Nike PG 6 Paulette is set to release on September 1st, 2022 through Nike and select Nike Basketball retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $110.
