Sabrina Ionescu’s connection to Nike runs deep. During her days at Oregon, which will forever hold ties to The Swoosh, she developed a friendship with Phil Knight that led to her Nike deal, signature sneaker line, and the creation of the NIL platform Divison St. As a nod to her alma mater, Ionescu previously released an Oregon colorway of the Sabrina 1 and is continuing this tradition with her new Nike Sabrina 2.
Previously, Sabrina was spotted wearing the sneaker during a game against the Las Vegas Aces in early September, but now official images reveal that this pair will be hitting retail. Engineered mesh in Oregon’s green hue covers the base, with a synthetic S overlay adding structure to the upper and acting as the eyelet. The laces and the tongue come in the same green hue as the rest of the upper, with the top suede portion hosting a golden S logo for Sabrina. More nods to Ionescu come along the collar with S embroidered details and on the yellow insole.
We see the logo with a new shape in a yellow suede finish for the Swoosh on the midfoot. Not only does this complete the Oregon color scheme, but it is a callback to another Oregon alum and Nike legend, Bill Bowerman, as the design is borrowed from the Nike Tailwind. Underfoot, the sneaker comes complete with a Cushlon 3.0 and Zoom Air-cushioned midsole in white and green paired with a green rubber outsole.
The Nike Sabrina 2 Oregon W releases on October 24, 2024, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $130.
