Nike SB continues its celebration of Paris, the City of Love, with a stunning new addition to its lineup. Throughout 2024, Nike SB has been paying homage to Paris's romantic charm and cultural significance with various colorways of the SB Dunk Low. Nike SB is now set to unveil another Paris-inspired gem, following the City of Love Pack featuring Burgundy Crush and Light Bone colorways and anticipated releases like the Trocadéro Gardens and Escargot-themed pairs. This time, the inspiration comes from the city's deep connection to cinema with the Nike SB Dunk Low City of Cinema.
The Nike SB Dunk Low City of Cinema captures the essence of Parisian cinema with a vintage, worn-in aesthetic that evokes memories of classic film theaters. The upper is adorned with a celestial gold color palette, featuring cracked leather throughout. This cracked leather gives the sneaker an aged and nostalgic look reminiscent of old movie posters and cinema façades.
Red satin, reminiscent of plush, old-school movie theater seats, graces the collar and tongue. The Nike SB logo atop the tongue features a retro cinema-inspired font, further enhancing the nostalgic theme. This logo is also on the insole, showcasing a custom rug print, while the heel is finished in a luxurious blue satin. The midsole appears slightly aged, much less so than the early samples pictured below, with contrast stitching adding extra pop. Rounding out the look is a brown rubber outsole.
The Nike SB Dunk Low City of Cinema will release on October 10, 2024, through Nike SNKRS. A release via skate shops will come in the following weeks. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $125.
