In 1982, Nike launched its first Pegasus model, spawning a legendary line of running silhouettes. Each year (minus the gap from Fall 1998 and Fall 2000 without a release), a new iteration of the model comes to market, with 2024 featuring the Pegasus 41. While both NCAA and NFL teams have taken over the model, Nike has plans for an array of inline variants, including the new Anniversary rendition.
Previous releases from Nike’s running silhouette have featured a similar colorway to this Peg 41, as seen on the Prototype renditions of the AlphaFly 3, Dragonfly 2, and VaporFly 3. Across the engineered mesh upper, we see a white hue applied, with the midfoot’s Swoosh logo replaced by an orange rectangle containing a mini Swoosh logo. Suede eyelets take on a cream finish, matching the Nike tag on the top of the tongue, while more white hues grace the tongue, lace set, sockliner, and heel. Inside, the insole takes on a bright orange hue, containing Nike Running branding alongside a retro typeface for the iconic Just Do It motto. Underfoot, the Peg 41 contains Air Zoom and Nike ReactX cushioning inside a cream foam midsole paired with an armory navy rubber outsole with a grippy traction pattern.
The Nike Zoom Pegasus 41 Anniversary releases on September 5, 2024, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $140.
