Nike has delved back into the archives and brought forth plenty of archival silhouettes, arguably the most popular of which is the Zoom Vomero 5. The early 2010s runner plays well into the recent New Balance trend as the model appears similar to a 99X series or 2002R release. However, The Swoosh brings its unique flair to the Zoom Vomero 5. On top of the ever-popular Doernbecher pair, we’ve seen the “Panda” Dunk take over the model on the “Timeless” colorway. Similar to how the Dunk and Vomero traded places, Nike’s upcoming “52” Pack takes both silhouettes and adds similar branding/colorblocking.
Covered in neutral shades mixed with silver, grey, and blue hits, the Nike Zoom Vomero 5 maintains its usual multi-layered and multi-material design. Around the toe, we see various leather overlays in whites and greys that rest atop a white mesh base. Working back, more panels near the midfoot sandwich the TPU panel hosting a silver Swoosh logo. Above, the tongue keeps the white theme strong while the laces, the nylon strap, and the Vomero 5-branded tag take on shades of blue. Continuing the blue shades are the sockliner and insole, the latter of which houses “52” branding. Our last hit of “52” comes placed on the heel in a silver finish, while the white/blue foam midsole paired with a multi-color rubber outsole completes the look.
The Nike Zoom Vomero 5 52 will be released in Fall 2023 through Nike and select NSW retailers online and in-store. Releasing in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $160.
