Unfortunately, many sneakerheads have to retire some of their most comfortable kicks for the year's colder months, swapping out their mesh runners and slip-ons for bulky, winterized footwear. But what if you can maintain the same mesh runner style while being ready for the winter season? That’s exactly what Nike was able to do with their Vomero 5 silhouette, adding some winterized elements and beefing up the sneaker with the Vomero 5 Roam. Following a drop of multiple colorways in November, we already have photos of pairs coming out in Spring 2025, including this Team Red Team Gold color scheme.
The two-tone silhouette splits the upper and bottom portions between the titular hues. A rubberized mudguard in team gold wraps from the toe back towards the heel, protecting the model from harsh weather conditions. More winterized features are found on the base, which uses a water-repellent ripstop textile in a red hue. Further red shades are on the suede panels on the toebox and vamp, the leather panel and Swoosh on the midfoot, and the mesh sockliner. Nike improves the lacing system for the new model as well, giving it an adjustable lace toggle for easy, on-the-go changes to lockdown support. Final details on the upper include a 3M-reflective heel tab, a Vomero-branded tongue pull tab, and a TPU heel counter in team gold. Down below, the model has a Zoom Air and Cushlon 3.0-cushioned foam midsole paired with a brown and red rubber outsole.
The Nike Zoom Vomero 5 Roam Team Red Team Gold W will release Spring 2025 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in women’s sizing, the retail price is set at $180.
