Nike's Zoom Vomero 5 has carved out a unique niche in the sneaker world, emerging as a solid alternative to the famous mesh runners from other brands. Since its revival last year, the model has been a canvas for innovation and style, continuously evolving with new colorways and designs. Spring 2024 heralds the arrival of the Nike Zoom Vomero 5 in an intriguing Sashiko colorway, a testament to Nike's commitment to pushing the boundaries of sneaker design.

This latest iteration of the Zoom Vomero 5 stands out with its distinct canvas base layer, a departure from the traditional materials used in previous versions. It maintains the signature aesthetic with its leather and TPU overlays, blending classic and contemporary elements. The color palette is a harmonious mix of earthy tones, featuring brownish hues on the mudguard and heel and a dominating neutral tan across most of the sneakers. The midfoot boasts a brown leather Swoosh, elegantly extending its tail onto the sashiko-patterned collar, a nod to the traditional Japanese stitching technique.

Suede accents on the vamp and eyestays add a touch of luxury, while the midfoot and heel are reinforced with robust TPU overlays. Further elevating the design are premium details such as a leather tongue tag and contrast stitching that gracefully outlines the panels. Completing the look is the underfoot technology – a sail-colored Cushlon and Zoom Air-cushioned midsole paired with a durable rubber outsole in black and brown.
