Nike’s Teddy Bear Collection Now Includes The Air Max 97

Packs of sneakers that all fall under the same thematic banner are commonplace in the sneaker industry. Just this year alone we’ve seen releases like the BETRUE Collection or Sun Club Pack take an overarching theme and dress various silhouettes in similar ways. For its latest pack, The Swoosh has already dressed two colorways of the Nike Dunk Low, an earth-tone look and a pink rendition, in a “Teddy Bear” theme. Now, the iconic Nike Air Max 97 joins in on the party.
Keeping its iconic bullet train-inspired design, the sneaker utilizes various suede and fuzzy wool panels throughout the upper, keeping a strong earth-tone color scheme all around. Wavy suede panels get separated by leather and velvet overlays, all of which stay in the realm of a tan wheat hue. Breaking up this earth-tone look are accenting blue hits, found on the lace set and branding details atop the tongue, along the midfoot, and back on the heel’s added leather Nike patch. A direct nod to the teddy bear logo that is found on all releases in this pack can be found on the insole, coming in the same color scheme as the rest of the sneaker. Underfoot, the AM 97 foam midsole gets covered in white while the full-length visible Air unit comes in the same shade. Rounding out the design is the rubber outsole which comes in various brown hues.
The Nike Air Max 97 Teddy Bear is set to release in 2022 through Nike and select NSW retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $180.
