Often considered one of the most well-executed collaborations, Virgil Abloh’s Off-White x Nike “The Ten” shook up the sneaker world when it was released in 2017. Five years removed from this moment and the duo is still working together even after the unfortunate passing of the legendary Abloh. Revisiting the AF1 Mid once again, though we still have yet to receive the Pine Green and White Graffiti pairs, is the recently revealed Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 Mid Black Graffiti.
Just like the aforementioned white pair, the entire upper gets covered in premium leather, coming blacked out all throughout. Your typical Off-White design motifs are still present with an extra lace set added in a contrasting white, Helvetica typeface on the medial portion, extra embroidery around the Nike Swoosh, and the infamous orange tab on the tail-end of said Swoosh. What makes this pair stand out from the group of AF1 Mids is the graffiti graphic sprayed atop the lateral side, featuring Off-White text in a light blue shade and an image of the Earth held together but a set of hands. Rounding out the look is the wavy midsole with exposed an exposed Air unit in the heel paired with a black, partially spiked rubber outsole.
The Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 Mid Black Graffiti is rumored to release in 2023 through Nike, Off-White, and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $185.
