This time, the Japanese retail powerhouse has joined forces with OJOS, the emerging Korean fashion brand, to craft a unique rendition of one of Asics’ most popular sneakers — the Asics Gel-1130. This collaboration is a testament to atmos Tokyo's ongoing commitment to bridging diverse styles and cultures in the world of footwear.
The OJOS x atmos Tokyo x Asics Gel-1130 is a masterpiece of design and functionality, blending elements from both collaborators. The sneaker features an upper that combines leather and mesh materials, primarily enveloped in a durable ripstop finish. The aesthetic is elevated with synthetic materials adorning the mudguard and eyestays in a subtle grey hue. This hue complements the cream and grey finish of the iconic Asics Tiger Stripe.
The reimagined lacing system adds a contemporary twist, introducing an extra eyestay in the midsole and replacing traditional laces with a more modern lacelock. While OJOS and atmos branding is not overtly present on the shoe, the pair has a specially designed charm that carries both logos. Everything comes completed with a pristine white midsole and a contrasting greyish-blue rubber outsole, ensuring both style and comfort.
The OJOS x atmos Tokyo x Asics Gel-1130 is slated for release on December 14, 2023, available exclusively through atmos and OJOS online and in-store.
