The Oregon Ducks football team had one of the best seasons nationwide, going undefeated at 13-0 and easily taking the Big Ten Conference. Looking ahead for the squad, they’re prepping to play in the Rose Bowl on New Year’s Day, hoping they can continue in the College Football Playoffs and earn a shot at the championship game. Helping them out in their game on January 1st will be a special pair of Vapor Edge Kobe 6 Cleats made exclusively for the Ducks.
This isn’t the first time the football program has shared images of exclusive cleats, as back in October, we saw a pair of Nike Vapor Edge Dunk PEs that they wore in their matchup against Purdue. As for the cleats the Ducks will wear during the Rose Bowl, the silhouette of choice is the Nike Vapor Edge Kobe 6 Cleat, a model that recently debuted in the iconic Grinch colorway and will be launching in a Mismatch color scheme on Christmas Day. Retaining the classic design details of the Kobe 6, Oregon’s version of the cleat comes coated primarily in a white finish with apple green and yellow accents throughout.
Scaly, faux reptile skin is applied to the upper base in a solid white shade, contrasted by the green and yellow Swoosh painted atop the midfoot. Classic Kobe 6 details remain, like the Kobe sheath logo along the tongue in green and the TPU heel counter in green that hosts Kobe Bryant’s signature. Inside, we see another hit of apple green for the school, matching the green utilized on portions of the cleated sole unit.
Oregon’s exclusive Nike Vapor Edge Kobe 6 Cleat PE will debut on the gridiron on New Year’s Day as the Ducks look to secure a win at the Rose Bowl. Unfortunately for us, they’ll remain exclusive to the players and not see a retail release.
