A Bathing Ape has stepped up in recent months in terms of collaborative efforts on their infamous BAPE STA silhouette, tapping Marvel for a pack containing various superheroes and even landing a partnership with the United States Postal Service. Continuing on this train of hyped-up collaborations, Drake’s OVO label is adding its touch to the latest BAPE STA to be revealed.
Coming in two colorways, an all-over White and a stealthy all-black, the model keeps its leather build but with a faux reptile twist. The various underlays and overlays take on a mismatched faux snakeskin print with scales present on the mudguard and toebox. A tonal set of flat laces feature the OVO owl logo on the lace dubrae while the top of the tongue tag sticks to the standard BAPE branding with the star logo. Along the midfoot, OVO text is mashed up with the aforementioned star, running back over to the heel tab. Keeping up with the premium details, the sockliner gets a leather makeover. Underfoot, the standard BAPE STA midsole featuring BAPE branding on the heel is paired with a matching rubber outsole.
The OVO x A Bathing Ape BAPE STA is rumored to release in October of 2022 exclusively through BAPE online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is TBA.
