The Packer x adidas FYW Intimidation Pack Releases On May 5

Many may look to Nike or Jordan Brand today for top-of-the-line performance basketball silhouette, however, adidas had its heyday with its FYW (Feet Your Wear) series from the 90s. Designed to follow the natural curves and shape of the human foot, plenty of FYW models hit the market with the adidas FYW Intimidation partially responsible for the Yeezy 500s sole unit. While the model did see a slight revival in 2020 to not much fanfare, the silhouette seems to be coming back once again with the help of New Jersey-based retailer Packer.
Two colorways of the Packer x adidas FYW Intimidation are on the horizon with one taking on a mixture of cream, black, grey, and white while the other opts for a darker color palette consisting of black, grey, purple, and wine red. Both pairs feature OG construction with the midfoot’s mesh underlay getting reinforced by a TPU exoskeleton, suede panels appearing on the collar, and a padded mesh tongue taking on a black finish. Branding details can be spotted along the collar and heel with adidas’ mountain logo, however, no visible Packer branding is seen at this point (though expect a co-branded insole at the least). Underfoot we see the adiPRENE+ midsole that inspired the adidas Yeezy 500 with its wavy and organic shape covered in white on the “White Grey” pair and a black-shaded sole for the “Black.” Rounding everything out is a non-marking rubber outsole that gets a tan, black, and grey finish on the “White Grey” and a black makeover on the “Black” pair.
The Packer x adidas FYW Intimidation Pack will release on May 5, 2023 through Packer online and in-store. Releasing in men's sizing, the retail price is set at $140.
