Jordan Brand’s Jordan Two Trey is a fusion of several different signature Air Jordan sneakers. Based on the vanity license plate Michael Jordan had on his red Range Rover, the Two Trey has distinct elements from the Jordan 6 through 8, as well as the Jordan 11, 12, and 14, implemented in a variety of ways.
This particular colorway pays homage to Paris Saint-Germain, a Ligue 1 football club based in Paris, France. Sponsored by Jordan Brand, the football club has received various special editions on a variety of Jordan silhouettes, both OG and new styles. This year in addition to Air Jordan 5 Retro Low, PSG gets an Air Jordan Two Trey colorway as well, that takes a more direct approach to colorblocking, inspired by PSG's white-base kit.
The Jordan Two Trey "PSG" features a primarily white-based upper in a variety of different materials, including a leather toe box from the AJ 12, plastic detailing taken from the AJ 6, and see-through mesh that peeks into the perforated underlay. The Jordan 11-inspired mudguard is a grey suede that runs from the toe box to the heel. The Jordan 12-inspired heel pull-tab features the club’s slogan “ICI C’EST PARIS” (which translates to “This is Paris”) stitched down the spine. The ankle collar is a mix of the Jordan 6’s cushioned ankle padding with the wings from the Jordan 7, both done in white with a contrasting blue inner liner. A white Jordan 8-inspired tongue with Jordan 11 accents along the rows of laces dons a red wax-seal logo and co-branded PSG and Jordan in the center. The clear outsole houses a white midsole, with a mix of traction pods inspired by the Jordan 11, Jordan 7, and Jordan 14 done in white, blue, and red, respectively.
The Jordan Two Trey PSG is set to release in September 2022. It will drop at Nike, via the SNKRS app, and at select Jordan Brand retailers worldwide, both online and in-store.
