Arriving just as the NFL season gets into full flow, the Patrick Mahomes x adidas x Ultraboost 5X celebrates his alma mater. The Kansas City Chiefs superstar QB first signed a deal with the German sportswear giant in 2017. That deal has since been extended and restructured, and now it is believed to be worth tens of millions of dollars annually, though no exact figures have ever been made public.
With his athleticism, creativity, and leadership, Mahomes became a natural fit for the brand's focus on innovation and performance, and his collaboration with The Brand With The Three Stripes transcends traditional sponsorship. He actively participates in product design, ensuring the products he endorses reflect his style and meet the demands of high-level performance. Mahomes is a big believer in giving back and helped structure a ten-year deal announced in July between the brand and his alma mater, Texas Tech. The deal is huge for the college, and the length suggests that adidas is fully invested in the future of college sports and the Superbowl-winning QB.
The Patrick Mahomes x adidas Ultraboost 5X is set to arrive with a breathable mesh upper adorned in power red. Three Stripes branding contrasts along the midfoot in geometrically patterned white and grey hues. A red lace set sits across a tongue that carries the signature Mahomes logo in white. A black EQT logo is seen on the rear heel. Underfoot is where the magic happens with the Boost midsole, which features the latest Light Boost technology, starting red at the front and fading to black. A Continental rubber outsole is applied, with black and translucent sections.
The Patrick Mahomes x adidas Ultraboost 5X is set to release on October 11, 2024, at adidas and select retailers in-store and online. Coming in men's sizing, retail is set at $190.
