Hailing from the Netherlands, Patta has found its space in both the footwear and streetwear area as its collaborative reach expands across both industries. Working with Nike, Vans, and New Balance in the past, the latter of the three is tapping the brand for yet another project, this time on the infamous New Balance 990v3.
Our first look at the collaborative pair came via Tim Sabajo, the brother of Patta’s co-founder Edson Sabajo, and showcases the heel of a 990v3 with “Made in USA” branding as well as the Patta “P” logo in black. Looking at the full sneaker, we can see a mixture of pigskin suede overlays in an olive green hue mixing well with green earth tone mesh on the base of the sneaker. Providing a bit of pop is the neon green overlay found on the toebox and vamp while the rest of the details opt for more complimentary tones like the silverish-grey hits on the tongue and midfoot’s “N” logo. Underfoot, a cream-colored midsole with grey hits on its heel gets paired with a black rubber outsole.
The Patta x New Balance 990v3 Keep Your Family Close is slated to release on September 30th, 2022 through Patta online and in-store. New Balance and select retailers will release the pair on October 7th, 2022. Coming in men’s, kids, and infants sizing, the retail price is set at $225 for men's pairs.
