The Los Angeles-based streetwear brand Pleasures has made a name for itself through controversial clothing pieces that draw inspiration from grunge, punk, and metal. Even with the negative press from time to time, the brand is still landing collaborations with brands like adidas, Crocs, and Reebok. Having previously worked with Asics back in 2020 on the GEL-Nandi OG silhouette, LA and Japan are linking up once again to create a collaborative Asics GEL-Lyte III.
Coming dressed in a simple color palette of white, grey, and black, green accents pipe the various panels all throughout. White mesh lands on the toebox, midfoot panel, and collar, while grey suede panels appear on the mudguard, eyestays, midfoot, and heel portion. As most of the silhouette does come in a lighter hue, this look is broken up by the black tiger stripes on the midfoot. Co-branding details appear back on the heel with both brands debossed atop the suede overlays, though these early images don't give us a complete picture of the details within. Rounding out the entire look is an off-white GEL cushioned midsole paired with a grey rubber outsole.
The Pleasures x Asics GEL-Lyte III is set to release on September 3rd 2022 exclusively through Pleasures online. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is TBA. For updates on the latest in sneakers, streetwear, and more, keep it locked to our Twitter and the Sole Retriever mobile app.
