Crocs has remarkably transformed its brand image, evolving from a widely critiqued footwear option to a powerhouse in the collaboration sphere. 2024 is another exciting year for Crocs, with a new Pokemon collaboration on the Classic Clog leading the charge. This collaboration continues Crocs' trend of partnering with a diverse range of properties, including Toy Story, Naruto Shippuden, SpongeBob Squarepants, The Mandalorian, and The Powerpuff Girls, showcasing their unique approach to engaging a broad audience.
The Pokemon x Crocs Classic Clog Pikachu Edition embodies the essence of the beloved electric-type Pokemon. The design features a primarily black upper, elegantly adorned with Pikachu silhouettes in tonal greys, capturing the playful spirit of the character. The clog includes Jibbitz charms depicting Pikachu in various expressive poses and dynamic lightning bolts, adding to the Pokemon-themed experience.
The detailing of the clog doesn't stop there. The footbed proudly displays a Pokeball, while this iconic element is present on the end of the sports mode strap, creating a cohesive and immersive design. The back of the sports mode strap is embellished with the Pokemon logo, further solidifying the collaboration's authenticity.
The sole unit of the Pikachu Crocs brings a splash of color and energy, featuring a striking lightning bolt pattern that runs across the black base, a fitting tribute to Pikachu's electric abilities. The outsole contrasts in a vibrant yellow, reminiscent of Pikachu's iconic color, making the design pop.
The Pokemon x Crocs Classic Clog Pikachu will release in 2024 through Crocs and select retailers online and in-store. Available in adult and GS sizing, the retail price has yet to be announced.
