Though New Balance is having its moment in streetwear and basketball, don’t sleep on the Boston-based footwear label’s skateboarding division. New Balance Numeric has produced some hit collaborations and continues to pump out new renditions of the hit silhouette, the 480, recently teaming up with Kith on two pairs to honor Madison Square Garden. Continuing the collaborative streak, New Balance Numeric is teaming up with skate shop Premier to launch a mushroom and fall-inspired colorway of the 480 silhouette.
Cream White hues and tan shades come together to keep things neutral. Premier and New Balance Numeric co-branding is found along the leather tongue tag, while the N logo and other branding details are obscured in this image. Morel mushrooms inspire many of the details on the silhouette, with parts of the leather appearing to have a similar honeycomb structure debossed into the paneling. The connection between Premier and morel mushrooms may have yet to be evident at first. Still, morel hunting is a common springtime activity in Michigan, the state in which Premier is located.
The Premier x New Balance Numeric 480 Morel Mushroom will release exclusively via Premier online and in-store on November 23, 2024. Available in men's sizing, the retail price is set at $130.
