Puma's resurgence in the basketball footwear arena has been remarkable, partly thanks to partnerships with high-profile athletes such as LaMelo Ball and Breanna Stewart. Stewart’s Puma Stewie 1 launch in 2022 was a historic moment, introducing the first women’s signature basketball sneaker in over ten years and spotlighting Stewart's prominence on the court. As we move forward, the anticipation around the third installment of her signature line, the Puma Stewie 3, has been building since Sole Retriever initially leaked the pair earlier this year. Now, we have images of another colorway for Breanna’s latest signature sneaker.
The Puma Stewie 3 Dawn is a striking embodiment of style and performance. Inspiration for this pair comes from the Sakura, a cherry blossom native to Tokyo, the floral golden trumpet tree of Rio Brazil, Spain's red carnation, and Breanna Stewart's daughter, Ruby.
The sneaker features a breathable mesh base, ensuring comfort and ventilation during intense play. Adorning this mesh layer is a captivating floral TPU overlay, which extends across the vamp, collar, and heel, adding a touch of elegance and uniqueness to the design. This colorway is a harmonious blend of coral, yellow, and blue hues, creating a visually appealing palette that stands out on the basketball court.
Yellow TPU accents the toe and certain areas of the midfoot for added durability, while blue highlights on the formstrip and sockliner inject a contrasting pop of color. Breanna Stewart's distinctive S logo is prominently displayed on the tongue and insole, signifying her personal stamp and influence on the design. The sneaker is rounded off with a yellow rubber midsole and outsole, the latter featuring a floral pattern and additional branding, ensuring both style and traction.
The Puma Stewie 3 Dawn W will release on May 14, 2024, through Puma and select retailers online and in-store. Available in women’s sizing, retail is set at $125.
