Breanna Stewart has made significant strides in women’s basketball and the footwear industry. As the first woman in nearly a decade to receive a signature basketball sneaker with the launch of the Puma Stewie 1 in 2022, she's set a new benchmark in women’s sports. Following the success of her initial signature sneaker and its successor, the Stewie 2, in 2023, early images have now surfaced of what appears to be her third signature model with Puma: the Puma Stewie 3.
This upcoming sneaker is a fusion of innovative design and personal style, evident in its intricate details. The Puma Stewie 3 showcases a captivating mix of blue and white, with the upper adorned with floral-themed elements that add a distinctive touch. A notable feature is the TPU panel that elegantly extends from the heel to the toe, paired with a white base layer embellished with a blue floral print.
This botanical theme extends to the sole unit, where portions of the traction pattern creatively form petals and branches. Premium leather, offering durability and a sophisticated look, makes up the collar and heel, while the mesh in the sockliner and tongue ensures breathability and comfort. Inside, the sneaker likely hosts Nitro Foam cushioning, though the exact tech specs remain a mystery.
Packaging for the model is also revealed in these early images, with the floral pattern extending to the box lid. Co-branding between Puma and Breanna Stewart is featured on the lid, while PARIS is written on the side. With the 2024 Olympics only a few months out and taking place in the French capital, this pair may have a tie-in to the games.
The Puma Stewie 3 City of Love W is set to release on June 28, 2024, through Puma and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in women's sizing, retail is set at $125. Keep it locked to the Sole Retriever mobile app to stay updated on the latest happenings in sneakers, streetwear, and more.
