Rick Owens and Converse have been teaming up for years under the DRKSHDW label, combining the avant-garde and dark aesthetic from Rick and the sportswear heritage of Converse. Before the Converse Weapon returned, Rick Owens helped usher in an early return with the TURBOWPN design, launching a handful of neutral colorways over the last two years. Now, adding to the silhouette’s history are two new colorways, one in Pelican and the other in Egret.
Like other iterations of the TURBOWPN, these two new color schemes use a neutral palette and feature premium, high-quality materials. The Egret pair sees this cream hue applied to most of the upper, including the iconic Y-overlay along the collar, the Rick Owens star logo on the midfoot, and the leather tongue. However, the tongue with its Converse DRKSHDW TURBOWPN logos appears black.
On the other pair, a primarily beige hue coats the leather mudguard, toebox, midfoot, collar, tongue, and heel. The Y-shaped overlay near the collar takes on the secondary egret shade, matching the leather below the Rick Owens star logo on the lateral side and the Converse Chevron on the medial. Like the other pair, the woven tongue label contrasts the neutral hues with a stark black finish: a tonal rubber midsole and outsole round out the design for both pairs.
The two latest Rick Owens x Converse DRKSHDW TURBOWPN colorways are slated to release on December 17, 2024, through Nike SNKRS, Converse, and Rick Owens online and in-store. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $200.
