Vans may be known as a skateboarding brand across the globe, however, the California-based label has offerings that cover outdoor excursions, running, and much more. Something that often goes hand-in-hand with skateboarding is BMX riding, and with the help of ROLLER Magazine columnist, singer, and actor Tomoya Nagase Vans has crafted a new bike-ready sneaker dubbed the ANTI-NORMAL.
Seen here in a “Blue” and a “Black” colorway, the silhouette comes designed by Nagase and features a low-top Slip-On-like design with a cushioned suede velcro strap acting as the lockdown system. Throughout the rest of the design, we see a monochromatic finish (sans blue accents on the Black pair and black accents on the Blue colorway) with “TOM” embroidery seen on the lateral side of the heel. More branding details land on the insole with a co-branded logo while the design is complete by a black sole unit on both colorways in the pack.
The ROLLER Magazine x Vans ANTI-NORMAL is set to release on March 11th, 2023 via ROLLER Magazine in-store and March 18th through ROLLER Magazine’s website. Releasing in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $105 USD.
