Sabrina Ionescu’s Nike Sabrina 2 is the 2nd Most Worn Sneaker in the 2024-2025 NBA Season

Even without breaking out stats, it’s obvious that Nike dominates the NBA. This is through its partnership with the league itself and the sheer number of sponsored and unsponsored players who sport The Swoosh on the court. Regarding signature series, it might surprise many that the second most-worn sneaker in the 2024-2025 NBA season doesn't even come from an NBA athlete; that title is reserved for WNBA star Sabrina Ionescu and her Nike Sabrina 2.
Sabrina’s signature series with Nike, currently on its second model, has transcended the boundaries of a “women's shoe,” becoming a staple in the NBA. According to KixStats, which also broke down the top 10 sneaker brands by minutes played in the 2024-2025 NBA season, Sabrina’s Nike Sabrina 2 was worn for 32,822 minutes. The only shoe above this was the Nike Kobe 6, which had 63,189 minutes, but Sabrina’s shoe beat out other popular models like the GT Cut 3, Kobe 5, Book 1, Kobe 4, and Kobe 8.
What makes the rise of the Nike Sabrina line even more impressive is how naturally it has integrated into the culture of men’s professional basketball—something no women’s signature shoe has managed in the past. Rather than being relegated to a niche demographic, the Nike Sabrina series has become a go-to choice thanks to its lightweight build, responsive cushioning, and on-court stability. And with a sleek, gender-neutral design, the line has done what many brands claim to aspire to: create a performance sneaker for everyone.
Of course, with the model's success, Nike plans to produce more Sabrina signature sneakers. Sole Retriever previously reported on the Nike Sabrina 3’s launch, and an early image of the sneaker recently appeared online. Based on this early look, we can confidently say that the series will remain a favorite of players in and out of the NBA.

With the Sabrina line’s success, Nike has opened the door wider for signature sneakers led by women, setting the stage for upcoming debuts from A’ja Wilson and Caitlin Clark to resonate even further. Other brands plan for signature models from WNBA athletes outside of The Swoosh, including Reebok with Angel Reese.
