The sacai x Nike Magmascape Pack Releases December 2023

One of the more experimental partners for Nike, sacai has long brought its unique aesthetic to various silhouettes from The Swoosh and most famously crafted the sacai x Nike LD Waffle in 2019 to much success. Since then, the duo (and many times with a third partner) have brought us a slew of releases on vintage-like silhouettes, and it seems this trend isn’t stopping anytime soon. During sacai’s runway show in January 2023, the brand showcased multiple colorways of its upcoming Nike Magmascape collab.

Combining elements from the archival Air Magma and Air Footscape, scai showcases this fusion model in Light British Tan, Varsity Royal, and Black, with each of these shades taking over the mesh siding of the upper. Suede overlays on the toe and midfoot follow in a tonal shade for the brown and black renditions, while the blue colorway features grey accents on these panels. As usual, sacai adds a double lacing system to the silhouette, one coming in a solid shade contrasting each pair while the other takes on a two-tone black and grey 3M-laden design. A co-branded Nike and sacai logo sits atop the tongue while “Nike” itself is debossed onto the collar’s suede. Underfoot sits the classic Air Footscape sole unit designed with the human foot’s anatomy in mind. The black rubber outsole with an outdoor-ready traction pattern rounds out the design.

The sacai x Nike Magmascape SP Pack, specifically the Light British Tan and Varsity Royal, will release December 7, 2023, through sacai, Nike, the SNKRS app, and select retailers online and in-store. The Black pair will be released at a later date. Coming in men's sizing, retail is set at $200.
