While Salehe Bembury recently announced he would start working with Puma on new basketball products and teased us with his upcoming New Balance 991v2 Made in UK project, his work with Crocs continues. As head of the Pollex Pod Collection, Bembury has introduced us to multiple new silhouettes, including the Pollex Juniper, his first “sneaker” design with Crocs. Just after the launch of the Tahini colorway, official images of a new Orange Purple colorway have emerged.
Containing a textured synthetic upper, we see perforations on the toe and heel, aiding in breathability and water flow. This synthetic material comes coated in an orange hue, which contrasts the magenta shades of the lace set and the tan hues of the tongue, collar, and sockliner. Along the tongue, we see a co-branded Crocs and Salehe Bembury logo with Juniper branding front and center, with more branding for the duo on the textured footbed. Final details on the upper include a pull tab on the heel and a blue TPU panel on the midfoot for added stability. Below this sits a light purple semi-translucent rubber sole unit, taking on Bembury’s famed 3D fingerprint design motif and wrapping up on the sidewall, heel, and toe.
The Salehe Bembury x Crocs Juniper Orange Purple will release sometime in 2024 through Crocs, Salehe Bembury’s Be A Spunge website, and select retailers online and in-store. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $140.
