Working his way up the fashion world over the last decade, Salehe Bembury has had tenure under some of the top design brands in the world, including Versace, Yeezy, and Cole Haan. On top of his assignments at the previously mentioned companies, his independent work with New Balance and Crocs has catapulted him into a household name, though the latter of the two is often his most sought-after work. With around six new colorways of his Crocs Pollex Clog on the horizon, the latest colorway to launch has been revealed to be a peachy “Cobbler” colorway.
Getting a brand new mold compared to the Classic Croc that many other collaborators work on, the molded foam slip-on is covered in ridges that, upon closer inspection, are actually the fingerprint of Salehe himself. Ventilation holes throughout add breathability and also work as Crocs’ “Pollex water siphoning system,” making this one of the best footwear options to wear in and around the water. Near the heel, the usual “sports mode” strap gets tweaked to be constructed out of nylon and features Salehe and Crocs co-branding details. Underfoot, a semi-translucent foam composite is mapped to high impact zones and comes in a slightly darker shade of the “cobbler” found throughout.
The Salehe Bembury x Crocs Pollex Clog Cobbler is set to release on August 18th, 2022 through beaspunge.com. Releasing in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $85.
