Salehe Bembury's collaboration with Crocs has revolutionized the landscape of collaborative footwear, bringing forth the Crocs Pollex Clog, a design that quickly became a cultural phenomenon. Years into this fruitful collaboration, Bembury has expanded the Pollex collection, introducing new forms like the Pollex Slide and the soon-to-be-released Pollex Juniper. Now, things have evolved further by introducing a new silhouette dubbed Saru. A new Pesto version has been revealed after the first look at the orange-hued variant.
The Salehe Bembury x Crocs Pollex Mule Saru Pesto represents a forward-thinking approach to footwear design. The mule, entirely covered in green, combines the upper build of the Crocs Classic Clog, featuring circular perforations at the toe for breathability and additional ventilation holes along the sidewall, ensuring the wearer's comfort in various conditions. A distinctive element of this collaboration is Bembury's signature 3D fingerprint design, which adorns the midsole and outsole, adding a unique texture and aesthetic appeal to the shoe.
The Salehe Bembury x Crocs Pollex Mule Saru Pesto will release March 21, 2024 through Salehe Bembury's Be A Spunge website, while Crocs and select retailers online and in-store will release the pair at a later date. While the retail price is yet to be announced, anticipation is already building for this latest addition to the Pollex collection.
