Salehe Bembury continues to push the boundaries of footwear with the latest addition to his partnership with Crocs. Following the success of the Pollex Clog and signing a multi-year extension with the brand, the relationship between Bembury and Crocs evolved with the introduction of the Pollex Slide and the soon-to-be-released Pollex Juniper. A fourth silhouette from the Pollex Pod collection has emerged, with Bembury teasing a new Pollex Mule dubbed Saru.
This mule silhouette features the iconic Crocs' Classic Clog upper, adorned with textured edges, circular perforations on the toe box for breathability, and sidewall holes for water drainage. Its sole, which incorporates Bembury’s recurring 3D fingerprint motif, sets the Pollex Mule apart, offering a distinctive look and enhanced traction. Unlike its predecessor, the Pollex Clog, this mule variation opts out of rubberized elements, leaning towards a sleeker, more streamlined aesthetic using foam.
The Salehe Bembury x Crocs Pollex Mule Saru will release March 21, 2024, through Salehe Bembury’s Be A Spunge website, while a wider release through Crocs and select retailers online and in-store will come later. As of this writing, pricing information has not yet been confirmed. Download the Sole Retriever mobile app for the latest sneaker releases, raffles, and industry news.
