Salehe Bembury's collaborations with Crocs are a testament to his innovative approach to footwear design. Known for his past work with Versace and Yeezy, Bembury has brought a fresh perspective to Crocs and now leads the Pollex Pod collection. As fans eagerly await the debut of the new Juniper silhouette, images of the latest Crocs Pollex Slide have appeared, now getting a Sasquatch makeover
The Salehe Bembury x Crocs Pollex Slide Sasquatch maintains the distinctive features of its predecessors, offering a monochromatic black design that emphasizes its innovative structure. The standout element of the slide is the forefoot strap, showcasing Bembury's renowned 3D molded fingerprint design. This unique pattern is visually striking and deeply personal, crafted from the designer's fingerprints.
The collaboration's focus on comfort and functionality is evident in the footbed, which features a textured finish for enhanced grip and comfort. This look is complemented by the co-branding of Salehe Bembury and Crocs, subtly integrated into the design. The slide also sports a rubber sole unit borrowed from the Crocs Pollex Clog that extends the 3D fingerprint motif throughout the design.
The Salehe Bembury x Crocs Pollex Slide Sasquatch will release May 16, 2024 through Salehe Bembury's Be A Spunge website. A wider release via Crocs and select retailers online and in-store will come at a later date. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $70.
