One of the sneaker worlds hottest designers as of late is Salehe Bembury, working his way up from designing for Yeezy to the VP of Men’s Footwear at Versace and eventually becoming famous for his own collaborative efforts. While Salehe's Crocs and New Balance designs are what come to mind, Salehe teased the world last year with images of his take on the Vans Authentic silhouette, though he recently shared another on-foot look via his Instagram Story.
Keeping in line with his design motif of incorporating his fingerprint onto his footwear, Salehe covers the canvas upper of the Authentic with a two-tone color scheme that showcases his own unique print. Standard details remain with tonal stitching details around the vamp and collar alongside a Vans branded tab located along the mudguard. Tonal laces match the primary color of the upper. Internally, Salehe’s Spunge brand makes an appearance through the co-branded Vans and Spunge insole graphic. Rounding out the look is the white vulcanized rubber midsole and gum outsole. As with most Salehe Bembury collabs, the packaging gets reworked as well with a natural cardboard box featuring co-branding between Vans and Spunge alongside his fingerprint design splattered throughout in white.
The Salehe Bembury x Vans Authentic is rumored to release on August 4th, 2022 through beaspunge.com. As of now, sizing and pricing information is TBA.
