Saucony has enjoyed a surge in popularity thanks to its mesh runner silhouettes. Of all its offerings, the ProGrid Omni 9 has become one of the most popular, thanks to timely collabs with Jae Tips and Starcow Paris and inline variants like the Crystal Caves and Disrupt Pack. Saucony has just launched the Autumnal Equinox colorway, continuing the brand's hit inline colorways.
Inspiration from the colorway comes from the Autumnal Equinox, an astronomical event that marks the beginning of the fall season in the Northern Hemisphere; the pair comes with the usual construction of the Omni 9. A mesh base takes on a black finish with pops of dark pink hues visible throughout. This same shade extends onto the lace set and the overlay along the collar. Dark blue hues appear on the midfoot cage and surrounding the Omni 9 logo on the lateral heel. Contrasting all of these shades is the light gold Saucony logo running across the midfoot, matching the shades found on the tongue tag.
The equinox theme comes in strong, as the right shoe features different moon phases, matching the insole, while the left pair features what appears to be a sunrise symbol. Underfoot sits a white foam midsole with speckle paint details in navy, while a pink foam is on the heel. Rounding out the look is the brown and black rubber outsole.
The Saucony ProGrid Omni 9 Autumnal Equinox was released on October 3, 2024, and is available now on Saucony’s website. Retailing for $170, the pair is offering in unisex sizing.
