While our timelines are usually filled with Nike, adidas, or New Balance sneakers, there are plenty of brands in the footwear space that bring unique design styles and interesting releases alike. Take Saucony, the US-based sneaker company that has focused heavily on running silhouettes over its 100-plus-year history. We’ve seen the brand link up with retailers in the sneaker world, like END Clothing or Sneaker Politics, as well as release inline colorways on models that pay homage to food, though their latest Shadow 6000 release may require you to have some astronaut food ready as its ready for a "Space Fight."
Galactic-inspired colors dress the suede and mesh constructed silhouette, appearing in a collage of colors including red, pink, orange, blue, and black. On the toebox and mudguard sits pink suede while the vamp and perforated quarter panel come in a vibrant red shade on the lateral side while black takes over the medial. Running through the split orange and grey eyestays are a set of blue laces with white stars that seemingly take inspiration from the American flag, continuing onto the sockliner nearby. Atop the tongue, split logos that feature 3M reflective details come with a rocket ship on the right pair while the left pair has a graphic of an astronaut in zero gravity. Even more space vibes shine through on the medial side as the overlay located near the sole appears in a moonrock-like design while we get more 3M hits thanks to the Saucony logo along the quarter panel. Rounding out the design, the black foam midsole with white paint speckles mimics what you’d see when in deep space while the rubber outsole below continues the moonrock theme previously seen on the upper.
The Saucony Shadow 6000 Space Fight is set for a global release on November 4th, 2022 through Saucony and select retailers online and in-store. Releasing in men’s sizing, the pair is expected to retail for $140.
