While Saucony may just now be appearing on the radars of sneakerheads, those in the running community know that the American footwear brand has some solid running silos on its roster. For the brand’s latest release on the Triumph 22, a model designed for more casual runners and everyday wear, Saucony has given the sneaker a lifestyle makeover featuring cowhide uppers.
Across the base of the upper, we see a faux cowhide in brown and cream tones, similar in appearance to Nike's Footscape Woven Cowhide colorway from last year. Even with this lifestyle material applied, the sneaker is still built for running and comes reinforced with clear TPU panels along the vamp, eyelets, and Saucony logo. Triumph 22 branding is placed on the white TPU heel counter, matching the mesh tongue and sockliner shades. Down below, the silhouette retains its chunky, soft foam PWRRUNPB midsole, offering one of Saucony's lineup's highest energy return midsoles. Rounding out the look is the tonal outsole.
The Nordstrom x Saucony Triumph 22 Brindle will release exclusively via Saucony and Nordstrom online and in-store on October 11, 2024. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $160.
