Nike is home to a wide range of the most elite athletes across both the planet and sports while often giving the cream of the crop their own lineup of products. For tennis superstar Serena Williams, her SWDC (Serena Williams Design Center) line has dressed many classic Nike silhouettes in colorways and materials that were chosen by the superstar athlete. For its latest endeavor, SWDC brings denim to the iconic Nike Air More Uptempo.
Coming dressed in a deep navy blue across its upper, the usual leather and nubuck construction of the Air More Uptempo is swapped out in favor of denim throughout its entire design. Contrasting volt green stitching details trim the edges of each panel, the iconic “AIR” text included, while purple embroidery adds even more depth to the model. Along the aforementioned “AIR” branding you’ll find portions that were torn off and are “filled in” via the stitching details while also adding a purple SWDC-branded tag on the letter “R.” Stark whites trim these letters and also take over portions of the tongue and lace set while the entire design is completed via a blacked-out Air More Uptempo midsole paired with a black rubber outsole.
The SWDC x Nike Air More Uptempo Denim W is set to release in February 2023 through Nike and select NSW retailers online and in-store. Releasing in women’s sizing, the retail price is set at $180.
