Sky Brown, the prodigious skateboarding sensation, has been making waves since she became the youngest professional skateboarder and Nike-sponsored athlete at eleven years old. Sky's journey has been inspirational, followed by her historic gold medal victory at the 2020 Summer Olympics and recent triumph at the 2023 World Championships. In celebration of her achievements, growing influence in the sport, and lining up with the Summer 2024 Olympics, Nike SB collaborates with Sky Brown, allowing her to bring her Japanese roots to the Nike SB Zoom Pogo Plus.
This collaboration between Sky Brown and Nike SB on the Zoom Pogo Plus features a design that pays homage to her British-Japanese heritage and vibrant spirit. The sneaker boasts a tumbled leather and suede upper in clean white and grey tones, setting a versatile foundation. The black Swoosh on the midfoot is adorned with a delicate floral print, symbolizing growth and beauty, with additional leather layers creating a 3D effect.
Co-branding appears on the tongue with Sky Brown's signature on the left and a portrait of a Japanese woman on the right, celebrating her cultural background. The insoles feature vibrant artwork, with the left showcasing the portrait in full color and the right highlighting Sky's name in Japanese characters. Even the heel tabs split her name, "Sukai," between the left and right shoes, adding a personal touch to every detail. Rounding out the look is the white vulcanized rubber sole unit.
