This season, British footwear brand Dr. Martens and Italian retailer Slam Jam will be teaming up for the first time ever for the Slam Jam x Dr. Martens 1461 "Black." Giving the classic 3-eye shoe a rugged rework, this is a collaboration that you definitely do not want to miss, especially if you're a big fan of DM's high-end materials and SJ's rebellious attitude.
Taking on the iconic 1461 shoe, Slam Jam's take on the legendary silhouette is dressed from heel to toe in smooth black leather. The toebox and sidewalls have been slightly reworked for this release, offering a workwear-inspired aesthetic that is sure to turn heads. To the laterals and medials, you'll find an extra eyelet that works in tandem with the rest of the lacing system for a utilitarian vibe. This theme is further emphasized with an oversized pull tab around the heel and a brown rubber sole underfoot. Of course, you can't talk about the SJ x DM 1461 without mentioning the "Slam Jam (Un)corporate Uniforms" text that's finely debossed, finalizing the design.
The Slam Jam x Dr. Martens 1461 Black is set to release on October 20th, 2022 in men's sizes with a retail price yet TBA.
